2009 Girl’s Soccer Season In Review - The 2009 season was another successful season highlighted by another ACL title, with the varsity girls' soccer winning back to back championships. The girls made yet another appearance into the MIAA state tournament, which was cut short by a first round loss to the Bay State League champs Wellesley 1- 0.

The girls finished the season with a regular season record of 11–4–3. The backbone of this year’s team success was overall team defense. The team allowed just 11 goals in 19 games, for a .52 goals against average and 11 shutouts.  Playing major roles in the outstanding goals against average was the play of ACL all-star Liz Lincoln, and senior captain and ACL all-star center back Lauren Dougherty.  Also contributing on defense were first year starters sophomores Jen Wilson and Jordan Flowers, with classmate Erin Costa contributing major minutes on defense coming off the bench.

Leading the offense was team leading scorer senior captain Shana Follette, who has lead the team in scoring for the third consecutive season.  Shana was named to the ACL all-star team for the third year in a row and named to the All-State and Eastern Mass All-Star teams for the second year in a row. Also contributing to the offense were junior center midfielder Ashleigh Berg, who was named to the ACL all-star team for the second year in a row and newcomers freshman Hannah Lear and Madison Finlay. All three will be counted on heavily to increase their offensive output for next year.  Senior forward Emily Admirand was a key player to the Lady Eagles offense scoring quite a few key goals during the season.

The Lady Eagles program is saying goodbye to 9 seniors who have left their marks on the program, qualifying for the tournament for 3 consecutive years and winning back to back championships in 2008 and 2009.  The coaches and underclassmen would like to thank these young ladies and wish them the best as they move on.  The graduating players include, senior captains Shana Follette, Lauren Dougherty, Allison Reid, and Liz Lincoln, Emily Admirand, Chantelle Winslow, Becca Brady, Ashlyn Tuffy, Cathy Lindquist.
